Where it all began
Hi, I’m Nidhi, Founder, Owner and Events Director of Royal Destination Weddings. A bit of background information about myself; I have a love for travelling, cooking and all things family oriented.
At the age of 16, I started working with events for a leading Asian TV channel in the UK, with the marketing and events department. At the age of 17 I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to co-ordinate an entire event which attracted 40,000 people. This paved a path for my keen interest and need to actively partake in event organising.
The year 2015 changed my life forever in the most amazing way possible, I got to marry my best friend in a Palace in Jaipur, India. A wedding abroad at that time was not very common, which first meant getting our parents heads around the idea that we were not going to actually be there every step of the way, but I knew that I could create something magical.
Despite already being an events manager, I still hired a planner for my wedding. They were amazing planners with the help from family but I still felt that changes had to be made in order to get it to the level of perfection I desired. This is what I felt was missing and this is the reason why Royal Destination Weddings was born. Here I realised that my keen eye for detail would be idyllic, not just for this business venture which I decided to start but also for brides who may currently be in a similar position to what I previously was.
Finishing touches and damage control with circumstances which are completely out of anyone’s hands are what my team and I are trained to resolve professionally, especially having been in that position numerous times myself, I know first-hand just how important these two factors play in making your event the best it can be!
